Inflammation Chemiluminescense Immunoassay Kit

Infection markers are mainly used to help emergency physicians quickly determine the presence of infection and infer the type of pathogen that may be infected. Commonly used infection markers include serum C-reactive protein (CRP), serum procalcitonin (PCT), leukocyte introduction 6 (IL-6) and serum amyloid A (SAA).

CRP, a nonspecific marker synthesized by the liver in the acute phase of systemic inflammatory response, is one of the strongest predictors of the risk of cardiovascular events. PCT is the precursor of calcitonin (CT). When bacterial, fungal and parasitic infections occur in the body, as well as sepsis and multiple organ failure, the level of PCT in blood will be significantly increased. PCT does not increase in autoimmune diseases, allergies and viral infections. Localized limited bacterial infections, mild infections, and chronic inflammation do not cause it to rise. IL-6 is a type of Interleukin. IL-6 is involved in the occurrence and development of many diseases, and its blood level is closely related to inflammation, viral infection and autoimmune diseases, as well as to tumors, internal and external injuries, surgery, stress response and brain death. SAA is an acute phase protein, which can be rapidly increased by about 1000 times within 4-6h after infection, and rapidly reduced to the normal level after elimination of pathogens. It is A sensitive indicator of infection and inflammation recovery. Binding with plasma high-density lipoprotein (HDL) regulates HDL metabolism during inflammation.
